Jay Leno (born April 28, 1950) is an American stand-up comedian, writer and host. After becoming a regular guest host on Johnny Carson's The Tonight Show, Leno became the controversial successor of the show on 1992. Another media controversy on NBC, took Leno to prime-time in 2009, when he started The Jay Leno Show. His prime-time show was cancelled in January 2010 and Leno returned to The Tonight Show on March 1 of 2010, replacing Conan O'Brien short tenure.
